It is located in the southeastern end of the province of Ávila, on the banks of the Alberche River, and forty kilometers from Ávila.
The valley in which it is located runs parallel to that of the Tiétar, and is flanked by the mountains of the Paramera and del Valle (foothills of the immediate Sierra de Gredos) within the IRUELAS VALLEY NATURE RESERVE, with maximum altitudes of two thousand one hundred meters. The natural environment of the Lodge is very rich both in terms of scenery and fauna and flora.
It consists of two irregularly shaped floors, which gives it a unique geometry, offering the visitor a very dynamic appearance.
The building is surrounded by a garden that allows multiple activities to be carried out without having to leave the facility itself. In front of the Hostel there is an area for the practice of sports activities and games. The shore of the Alberche is located about a hundred meters from the door of the facility, extending between them a wide poplar grove.
The ground floor of the building is composed of the kitchen, warehouse, office, toilets and three multipurpose rooms. One of them, the one that is used as a dining room; the other two living and working rooms, with the possibility of converting it into a single room.
The upper floor is distributed in two wings, and between the two there are eleven rooms, which give the hostel a capacity of fifty-six beds. The rooms are multiple, with rooms for six, four and two people. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms.
In an annex building we have a room with 16 beds with bunk beds, with two bathrooms (adapted for people with reduced mobility), a classroom equipped for the development of multiple activities and training courses, the access to these rooms is fully adapted with access ramps, the access to the main building also has a ramp to make its access more comfortable for the use of people with reduced mobility.
There is an area called Trampalones Natural Reserve, nestled within the Iruelas Valley and a Special Protection Area for Birds (Z.E.P.A. and SCI -ES00000116), as well as being located on the banks of the Alberche River and tributaries (SCI -ES4110078)
