Located in El Barraco (Ávila), the Alberche Valley Nature Museum is a space of over 700 square meters, seamlessly integrated into its surroundings.
It houses a cutting-edge zoological collection with more than 600 pieces, prioritizing life-size artistic replicas.
It is a faithful representation of the biodiversity found in the region and the natural wealth of the Central System mountain range.
There are five themed rooms:
• Main Room, highlighting birds of prey, mammals, and other elements of more general ecosystems.
• Forest Room, with scaled environments boasting an incredible level of detail and realism.
• River Room, a recreated riverbed showcasing its most prominent inhabitants.
• Hunting and Fishing Room
• Night Room, featuring nocturnal birds of prey and a few other surprises.
A visit to the museum is complemented by the Temporary Exhibitions Room and an outdoor area designated as a Mycological Reserve and Butterfly Oasis.
