Defuse the Bomb is a virtual reality experience designed to foster interaction and teamwork, combining both cooperative and competitive elements. In groups of 3 to 5 participants, teams must try to defuse as many explosive devices as possible within the set time to score points and claim victory.

Each group will have a pair of virtual reality goggles and a bomb defusal manual. Participants rotate between the bomb defusal room (with the VR goggles) and the instruction manual area. The person wearing the goggles is the only one who sees and manipulates the device but doesn’t know how to deactivate it; the rest of the team, with the manual in hand, has the necessary information but cannot see the explosive. This makes communication and coordination essential for success.

As the activity progresses, teams face increasingly challenging scenarios. It is an experience that quickly engages everyone and highlights group dynamics, communication styles, and decision-making under stress and conflict resolution.

Objectives:

  • Improve team communication and coordination.
  • Develop problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Foster cohesion and collaboration in a playful setting.
  • Strengthen leadership and quick decision-making.
